Known Background: John Roadwalker is the grandson of his tribe's medicine man and, in spite of the abundance of modern day medicine and other conveniences, the elder insisted on passing his knowledge down to the new generation. Originally hesitant to study under his grandfather, John soon realized that there was more to being a medicine man than just dancing around in a circle and chanting to cure illness; it meant keeping the tribe safe. As such, he learned to become a magical Shaman capable of all forms of physical and environmental manipulations. Soon after his lessons were completed, John's grandfather passed away, leaving him with the mission on not only protecting the few people that were left in their local tribe, but to protect the nation of Native Americans within North America. Roadwalker's first attempt to fulfill his grandfather's wishes (joining the Brotherhood of Freedom) proved to be an immense disaster, but he feels far more certain of his decision to join the American Rangers.

Personality: John has a good heart and a strong sense of justice, but has a tendency to be gullible when it comes to trusting others. He wants to see the best in others and is overly anxious to make friends that will help him in his life's work. As such, he will tolerate a lot of strangeness. He is dedicated to the prosperity of his people, and as such has concerns about the politics of America, especially when it comes to race relations. He is naturally soft-spoken except when he sees injustice being done.

Powers/Tactics: Roadwalker's shaman magic gives him control over nature in all its forms. He can transform a serene mountainside into a raging storm in moments. With the proper chants and gestures, he can whip up a wind field that protects him or others, turn invisible, grow up to 28' tall (Inyuk-chuk) or simply amplify the natural abilities of the human body. Of course, as a medicine man, he is also capable of using his abilities to heal any naturally-formed ailment.

Appearance: John Roadwalker is a full-blooded Native American Indian. He normally stands 6' tall and weighs 205 pounds of well-toned muscle when not under the influence of magical spells. He wears a brown and gray jumpsuit with brown headband, bracers and boots that is intended to represent a modernized version of classical Indian garb. Instead, John feels as though it looks like a costume taken off an old B-movie western, but wears it in order to keep the peace and "fit in."

Roadwalker was created and designed by Jim Caswell. He is a non-player character.
