The world of organized crime has typically strived to remain under the radar of the superhuman population due to the high probability of interferance into their operations. On those rare occations that they do draw attention to themselves, they are soon broken up by whichever superhuman is local to their region. Many groups have had to learn this lesson the hard way (the gang known as the Mutants come to mind). As such, it is a rarity that three organized crime families are not only known, but still in operation due to lack of hard evidence against them. The Carporetta family, operating mainly out of Italy but with connections all over the globe, seem to have something of a guardian angel watching over them as they have yet to be brought down. Operating out of New Orleans, Papa Boulet and his accociates still hold the reputation of being "legitamate businessmen" even though rumors abound of connections to clandestine crimes and the local street gang, les Crânes. But it is just a matter of time before one of these organizations slips up and is able to be brought down for good.
