Known Background: Sid parents divorced when he was 10. His mother caught his father in bed with his secretary. Sid's mother won sole custody and took him and his sister from LA to Iowa. There they lived with Sid's grandmother. The divorce was hard on the family, and it was extra hard on Sid. Sid started to act out in school. He was always sitting in the principle's office. When Sid was 14 his sister became pregnant with her boyfriend's child. Her mother could not afford to feed anther mouth so Sid's sister was forced to move out. Sid's Grandmother died the following year and his mother couldn't afford to keep the house, so they moved into the hotel down the street. Sid became tired of school and dropped out at age 16. He also became too much for his mother to handle so he was sent to live with his father in LA.
Sid father was a bit stricter and forced him to attend school. This is where Sid was first introduced to the gangs in LA. When he would get dropped off at school, Sid would wait until his father drove away then he would run off to meet up with his new found family. They were called the Gutter Dogs and were well known in the area. They did most of the muggings and vandalism that occurred in the neighborhood. It was a fairly good size gang, 50 members in all. There was almost nothing that they wouldn't try. Sid felt at home in his gang. Soon Sid even stopped coming home at night. The Gutter Dogs had taken over an old abandoned apartment build near the docks. Sid wasn't very high ranked in the gang, but they still treated him better then his parents did.
About 3 years after Sid joined the gang; the Gutter dogs were approached by a well-known crime lord in LA they were asked to do a job for him. Detrix Labs was a high-end genetic engineering lab, their job was to break in and steal some equipment and specimens to be sold on the black market. The gang was offered 35% of the "expected" profits as a reward. The gang leader, Spike, agreed to the job and was told that he could only take a few people with him. Somehow Sid was among the chosen to go along.
The following evening, Spike, Sid, and the rest of the chosen were dropped off by a limo just outside the Detrix complex. They hopped the security wall and snuck inside. Spike was given explicit instructions on what to grab and how to get in and out. One of the crime bosses henchmen had already broke the code to enter, so getting in was a snap. Once inside the security system was disarmed and the camera were scrambled. It was going just as planned. Sid's group was to get into the specimen and experiments laboratory and procure certain samples. It took the 6 of them about 10 minutes to find what they needed. As they started to leave the lab, a security guard that was not supposed to be on duty that night, happened to be making his rounds. He opened the lab door just as the group was leaving. Both were caught by surprise and guns were drawn.
A gun battle ensued. Sid, who didn't have a gun on him, dove for cover. In doing so he broke the sample that he was holding. The glass cut deep into his thigh, and what ever was in the flask found it's way into that cut. Sid covered his head and waited for the battle to end. The guard was struck in the chest by a few rounds and fell to the ground. Sid quickly picked up all or the unbroken samples that he could find and started out of the lab. As he stood to leave, he looked down at the reminisce of the flask that cut him. The label read, "Experiment #4322 - Feline Mutation Sample". Not giving this a second thought, Sid quickly followed the rest of his gang from of the lab and out of the complex.
That evening, when they returned to the apartment building, Spike told them that theywere to meet the crime lord tomorrow at 6pm to exchange the goods for the money. Sid didn't feel well and told the rest that he was going off to bed. He made it half way up the stairs and the cut on his leg started to burn and ache. He rushed to his bathroom and slammed the door. The burning started to spread. Soon his whole body felt like it was on fire. The next hour was total agony for Sid. Every cell in his body felt as if it was being eaten from the inside out. His mind was put to the torch and all of his muscles were stretched to their limit. As this was happening, what Sid didn't notice was that his muscle mass was growing and altering its structure. His mind was opening up sections of itself that are never used by humans. Growth hormones that had been dormant after puberty again rush through his system. And even his physical features were being molded by an unknown force as if they were putty. Sid soon blacked out from the pain.
The next morning Sid awoke. He was still lying on the bathroom floor. He tried to stand but couldn't move at all. His first thought was that he had been paralyzed from the reaction. It even hurt to breathe. He laid there for most of the morning. By noon he was able to move, it still hurt, but at least he could move. Upon standing up he realized that he seemed to be taller. Looking down at his body he saw hair. His body was covered with brown hair. Quickly he rushed to the mirror. What stared back at him was not the face that he was expecting. It was that of a half-cat half-human. Realizing what had happened; Sid reached down to feel the gash that he had received last night at the lab. The gash was gone; there was not even a scar.
For the first time in his life, fear over took his mind. He raced down stairs to find Spike; he would know what to do. The man-cat soon found himself acting as hired muscle for the gang. Hanging out in a local strip club, however, led him to meet and hook up with the motercycle gamg known as The Evicted Demonz. Finally finding a group of psychos that he could make a name with, he eagerly joined the gang.
